Worship is our central activity as a church. There are lots of reasons to worship God!
What is a worship service like?
Jesus is at the center of all we do. We sense that he is actually present with us through the Bible and the Holy Spirit, bringing healing to individuals and making us into a strong community. Does that sound strange? It is. God himself lives in us.
We love to have newcomers, seekers, and skeptics, and we try to explain what we do for those who are not used to church. You don’t have to be convinced before you come.
Our worship services tend to be on the simple and informal side. People dress however they are most comfortable.
Expect variety in the songs we sing – hymns and contemporary praise in English and Spanish.
We care about kids and families, and we think they should stay together for worship. So kids in 5th grade and above stay in the service and we try to keep things fun for all ages. Parents are free to keep their younger children in the service too if they like, or childcare is available during the service. A well-run Children's Church is availabe for kids up to the 4th grade.
Expect a conversational preaching style that takes the Bible seriously and applies it to our lives today. There is usually a time for questions, comments, prayers, and sharing anything God puts on your heart. We do believe in the gifts of God's Spirit and welcome people to share.
Expect friendly conversation and good food.
